The Nest ist eine Lichtinstallation, die wie ein großes Rad mit einem Durchmesser von 7,5 Metern sich an einer Wandfläche zu drehen scheint. Fünf gebrauchte
Kinder-Sport-Spielgeräte werden durch eine starke Kette festgehalten, so dass die Rotationskräfte des Karussells den Schlitten, das Dreirad, den Roller, die Fahrradrikscha und den Buggy nicht
absprengen können. Die einzelnen Skulpturen sind durch farbige Gebrauchsgegenständen die leuchten, stark verfremdet. Fast sieht es so aus, dass der wie ein Rakete aufsteigende Schlitten sich von
der Gruppe lösen wird. Anders die Fahrradrikscha, sie sucht Sicherheit, sie wendet sich dem Zentrum zu und fährt zurück ins Nest. Die Installation ist ein Sinnbild für soziale Gruppen, so auch
eine Familie.
The Nest is a light installation that appears to rotate on a wall surface like a large wheel with a diameter of 7.5 metres. Five used children's sports toys are held in place by a strong chain so that the rotational forces of the carousel cannot blow off the sledge, the tricycle, the scooter, the bicycle rickshaw and the buggy. The individual sculptures are strongly alienated by colourful everyday objects that glow. It almost looks as if the sledge, which rises like a rocket, will break away from the group. The bicycle rickshaw is different, it seeks safety, it turns towards the centre and returns to the nest. The installation symbolises social groups, including a family.
